Show Respect ~ Learn Together ~ Try Your Best
On what seemed to be the coldest day of the year, the children had to be ‘encouraged’ from their beds at 7.45 but they were soon dressed and queueing for their morning bacon butties.
Our first activity today was a morning canoeing up the Sulby River where everyone got VERY cold and VERY wet but had a lot of fun. Miraculously, no one fell in but it was close.
After lunch (the children are eating anything and everything) we split into our groups. Firstly, the children conquered the high ropes (rather them than me) and then had an absolute ball on the zip wire. After that, they had another ’shot’ at rifle shooting (it was WAY too cold and windy for field archery).
After our evening meal, we went on a wallaby hunt – a very successful wallaby hunt. We think the highest total of spots was 17 sightings.
So, after a treat of hot chocolate with marshmallows and jammy dodgers, the children are now getting ready for bed. Fingers crossed for another peaceful night….
