We used pictures as a stimulus from our new text the predict what the story was going to be about.
On Monday we had a very interesting visit from Mr Parkin. He taught us all about our solar system and the space race of the 1960’s.

This week year 2 used teamwork to make a shelter. We wanted to make it big enough for everyone to fit in - and we did! All except Mr Oates who pretended to be a bear outside!

We had another great time in The Hideout today. Everyone learnt how to hammer nails safely into wood. Later they wrapped string around the nails and made their first name initial.

Whilst the year three children are swimming, year 2 will be exploring the school field - getting out and about - and having adventures!
