Show Respect ~ Learn Together ~ Try Your Best

At Braddan, we aim to use pupil voice to help us to design clubs that we know will be popular. This Summer term has seen a few Year 5 and 6 pupils ask to organise and run their own clubs, with a staff member as support. We had a 'chill club' on Wednesday lunchtimes run by four Year 5 students, which had a huge turn out. The only rule was that people who attended had to be 'chilling'. We also had a chess club and our Lego club. Again, these clubs had a huge number of students join in. This photo was shared by the Year 6 student who designed and ran the Lego club with support from staff. You can see just how busy they have been. By running a lunch time club, our students learn many skills, including promoting their club; taking responsibility for resources; being organised and timely, and having high expectations of behaviour for themselves and their peers (social interaction skills).
