Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to our school community.
At our school, we pride ourselves on being a happy, caring and inclusive place where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, supported and inspired, and we work hard to create an environment where curiosity, confidence and kindness can flourish.
Our dedicated staff team is committed to providing a rich and engaging curriculum that nurtures each child academically, socially and emotionally. We place great importance on building strong relationships with pupils and families, working in partnership to ensure that every child thrives and develops a lifelong love of learning.
We are proud of our school’s values, of honesty, kindness and aspiring, which underpin everything we do and help our children grow into responsible, respectful and resilient individuals. Alongside high expectations, we celebrate effort, creativity and personal achievement, recognising that every child’s journey is unique.

Showing kindness, honesty and aspiration in all they do
Another brilliant day at our residential today. The weather was mostly thundery with some moments of blue sky, but that did not deter us from making the most of the activities. We abseiled; jumped across a trapeze; wandered around the sensory trail with blackout glasses and fenced like historic her…
We've had another fun filled day at Winmarleigh Hall. An early breakfast followed by climbing and survival activites, canoeing (again, no photos because the teachers were to busy paddling), archery tag and then a giant game of Cluedo. The class asked to go to bed early tonight, so we think they are…
It's been a busy day starting at 7am for our Year 6 class. They had 5 main activities including the 'giant swing', building rafts and playing disc golf. There are no photos of the successful rafts on the water because all the teachers got on to test them out too. The children have loved spotting wi…
We’ve had a very relaxed trip and all safely arrived at Winmarleigh Hall. No seasickness and the group have loved all the games that were available on the ferry.
Well done to our pupils who have demonstrated our school values this week.
Our fantastic choir came first in the Gaelic category. Many thanks to Ms MacDowell and Mrs Davies for all their hard work.
Well done to our amazing girls' football team who made it to the semi finals of the inter schools football team. They didn't concede one game but lost in the semi final to the winners CYB. Great team work and support for each other.
This week, Year 5 had a fabulous opportunity to attend the Outdoor Education Center for a "Wild Day". They cooked donuts on a fire they lit; created a tent village; identified invertebrates, and bird-spotted. It was a busy and rewarding day of outdoor learning.
