Show Respect ~ Learn Together ~ Try Your Best

We are learning about colour washes and silhouettes. We are learning about The Great Hunger also known as the Irish Famine. We know that many people emigrated to other countries during the famine and afterwards when life was still very hard. We imagined what it must have been like for families who left and for those who stayed. We created artwork that was inspired by what we have learned so far. We think they are very effective. What do you think and why?

We also watched this video to find out more about artwork inspired by The Famine and to better understand what life must have been like at the time.
