After a torrential rain and thunder storm, the children woke VERY early to blue skies. Unfortunately, they didn’t last long, and we have been battling cold and the elements most of the day!
Today, Group 1 started in Mooragh Park with a 2 hour canoeing and kayaking session on the lake. Watching them struggle into wet-suits was definitely the funniest part of the day! Group 2 enjoyed their abseiling adventures and then learned how to do rifle shooting – we definitely have a couple of potential sharp-shooters!
After lunch, Group 2 had their turn on the lake, whilst Group 1 tried their hand at crate staking and rifle shooting. Some children just couldn’t handle the fact that their teacher was a better shot than them….
By tea-time, the children were ravenous and polished off sausages, yorkshire puddings, potatoes, carrots and gravy, followed by ice-cream and a trip to the tuck shop. The day was finished off by a game of man-hunt and a walk.
Here’s hoping for a peaceful night!
